Justin - Studio ShotSince he was a young child, music has played an integral role in Justin Boundy’s life.

At the age of six, he started playing the piano and was a regular performer in school concerts. Barely in his teens, he was already experimenting with composition, influenced and intrigued by a diversity of music, from internationally renowned pianist, Richard Clayderman , to movie soundtracks and pop music.

At 15 years of age, Justin’s musical vision was unleashed when he discovered electronic keyboards and was instantly excited by the concept of producing music with electronic instruments. He drew his inspiration from artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kitaro , all of whom used synthesizers to not only compose music, but to create entire soundscapes that evoked emotion.

Justin became obsessed about the music he could create from his electronic keyboards. He was soon writing and recording his own compositions which quickly became recognised and snapped up by local radio stations.

From here came the evolution of JAB….a project of passion and skill; a labour of love.

Justin worked night and day, and every cent he accumulated was invested in equipment. He wanted to be able to build and record the very best in sound, and he quickly amassed a broad range of high quality equipment which ensured the highest quality sound required for commercial release.

By the age of 23, he had recorded his first album called ‘ Emospheres ’ , which was successfully released in Europe. Justin describes his album as “A journey through a world of varying emotional spheres".  'Emospheres' incorporates dance style music, ambience and dramatisation, while fearlessly exploiting the versatility of electronic music.

Tracks from this album were used for short films, advertising and product launches.
Since his early twenties, Justin has worked extensively on live production for major venues including Australia’s largest Services Club, Twin Towns and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre .  He is currently production manager for entertainment at Southport RSL located in the heart of Southport on the Gold Coast.  Justin also contracts to other companies and venues offering his services in production.
He has composed music for corporate presentations and short films.
Justin’s work has also included the creation of an audio-visual show to showcase the sound features and lighting effects of the new Images Lounge at Twin Towns, a multi million dollar entertainment venue on the southern Gold Coast.

For this project, he composed the theme music ‘ This is Images ’ set to intelligent lighting and video images. This show was automated utilizing AMX control, which enabled the operator of the room to launch the show with one single button push.
JAB has become widely respected amongst Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales’ artists. Justin has recorded and produced albums and Eps for artists from a multitude of genres, including rock bands, opera singers, cabaret, pop and singer/songwriters and composed music for artists to use in their live performances.

Today Justin continues to do what he does best…..recording and producing music for every style of artist, from up-and-coming singers and musicians to old pros. Those who know Justin trust him to take valuable music and their God-given talent and showcase it at its best.

His commitment to them is to ensure the continual progression of JAB Studio in order to keep abreast of current advances in music technology and production.

Justin also continually strives to compose a unique and distinctive sound for every one of his clients.

And they are never disappointed.
